HELMETS
KLIM KRIOS
This is my favorite helmet. It’s lightweight, comfortable and perfect for long distance. I have no issues with the fit, zero hotspots. If you have a big head like I do, this is the one for you.
ARAI XD4
My first expensive helmet. Myt first ADV helmet. It fit great at the store but after a few long rides I found it’s weaknesses. This helmet is heavy. Your neck will be feeling it after a long day. The visor is hard to get used to. It has a curve in the middle that my eyes can’t get past. I am also slightly near sighted, so that doesn’t help. Last issue and the main reason I stopped wearing this helmet, are the hot spots. After an hour I start to feel them badly. To the point where I need to push the helmet with my hand to relieve the pressure, or take a break. It sucks spending a ton of money on a killer helmet, only to find out that it’s just not the one for you. I did get a few years out of it, so it’s not money wasted, but I do wish I would have spent a little more time looking before pulling the trigger on this one.
BELL FASTHOUSE MOTO-9
Good dirt bike helmet. A few hotspots, but luckily with this kind of riding you can take plenty of brakes.
