BOOTS

ALPINESTAR TECH 7

For long trips these are my go to. They provide the support I need plus the comfort to ride long days. The drystar waterproofing also works pretty well. Great boots.

SIDI CROSSFIRE

For shorter or technical rides I rock these boots. The build quality is amazing and the amount of control you have is top notch. You don’t feel like you’re wearing clown shoes with these boots. Not cheap, but I got mine used and I probably won’t have to buy another pair again since you can replace all the parts on them. They take some time to break in but if you can get past that, you’ll be golden. If you have a plate on your ankle like I do, you’ll have to wear thicker socks or consider another option, they do start to bug me after an hour or two, but I only notice when I’m not on the trails.

SIDI CANYON GTX

Great commuter boot. The goretex and leather keeps you nice and dry. I picked these up cheap on craigslist. I would not reccommend these for BDR style trips. They don’t have enough protection. I was wearing these when I broke my ankle on the WABDR.
